Vancouver in July
When to go
Environment and Climate Change Canada's most recent normals for the Vancouver airport station list warm days, mild evenings and only a few days with measurable rain in July, so pack a light layer and check the forecast close to your dates. Canada Day, on the first of the month, is a statutory holiday in British Columbia. Destination Vancouver lists the Khatsahlano Street Party, which closes a long stretch of a Kitsilano street to traffic every July, and Bard on the Beach at Vanier Park through the summer.

The Government of British Columbia's accommodation tax page shows that short-term stays in the City of Vancouver carry provincial sales tax plus two municipal and regional district taxes, so check whether the rates you compare include them.
