About RovePort
RovePort publishes trip guides by destination and month: what a place is like that month, what is on, and where to look for flights, stays and the rest. Every fact links to its source.
Who we are
RovePort is a small independent venture run by three partners. We are not part of a travel company, and no travel company owns or funds us.
Why the site exists
Planning a trip means checking the weather, the dates of what is on, entry rules and more, across many sites. We put the facts for one destination and one month on one page, each with a link to where it comes from and the date we last checked it, so you can see for yourself.
- A page goes live only with at least 5 sourced facts, each checked within the last 180 days.
- Destination scores are calculated from official data by published formulas: see how we score.
- How we pick the companies a page links to is on how we compare.
How we make money
RovePort is free to use. When you follow a link from our site to a travel company and book with it, that company may pay us a commission. The company sets the price; we do not add anything to it, and we never take payment from you. The details are in our affiliate disclosure.
What we don't do
- We are not a travel agent, and we are not an insurance company, agent or broker. We don't sell travel or insurance, and we don't take bookings or payments.
- We cannot see or change bookings. Changes, cancellations, claims and refunds are with the company you booked with.
- Travel companies do not pay for, choose or review the facts on our pages.
