Sydney in March

When to go

The Bureau of Meteorology's Observatory Hill statistics in the facts give the month's temperatures and rainfall. The NSW Government says daylight saving runs until early April, so clocks are still on daylight saving time throughout the month. Two dated events stand out: the Mardi Gras Parade, which the festival's website lists for a Saturday early in the month, and the Easter public holidays at the end of it, so check both against your trip dates.

Flights

The Department of Home Affairs' Electronic Travel Authority page lists the United States of America among the eligible passports and says how long you can stay after each entry, so read it while you compare flights. Sydney Airport's own website gives the train travel time into the city, which is worth weighing when you compare arrival times. For US government guidance, see the State Department's page for Australia, and check the airlines directly for current flight and route information.
