When to go

June in Rome opens with Republic Day, which the city's official tourism site describes as a day with a military parade, an aircraft display and the free opening of the Quirinale Gardens. The patron saints' feast falls near the end of the month, and the Vatican Museums' official calendar marks it as a closure day. The climate normals listed here give typical highs, lows and rainfall, so check a forecast closer to your dates.
