Rome in July

When to go

July brings warm days and little rain in the climate normals listed here, so check a forecast closer to your dates. The official tourism site lists the Festa de Noantri from the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, when the streets of Trastevere still come alive with stalls, markets and street performances. If a Vatican Museums visit is on your list, read its dress code, listed above, before you pack.
