When to go

Two Czech public holidays fall at the start of July, Saints Cyril and Methodius and Jan Hus Day, so check opening hours and transit timetables for those dates against your trip. The WMO climate table lists the month's daily high and low and its precipitation, so pack for a range of temperatures and some wet days.

Flights

Václav Havel Airport Prague connects to the city by public transport buses and by the Airport Express to the main railway station, whose travel time the airport says depends on traffic conditions. The EU's travel site says the Entry/Exit System is fully operational and that ETIAS is not currently in operation; read both pages and the State Department's page for Czechia before you travel. Getting around

The airport says regular public transport tickets cannot be used on the Airport Express, so plan that leg separately. For the rest of Prague, the PID page calls a time ticket the convenient option for visitors, says to stamp it when you first board a vehicle or enter a metro station, and lists the routes it does not cover; the transit company's fare list shows regular and in-app prices. The Czech National Bank says exchange rates differ between bureaux de change, so compare the posted rates before you exchange cash.
