Madrid in June
When to go
June in Madrid is warm and mostly dry by the national weather agency's long-term averages, listed in the facts as a guide rather than a forecast. Madrid Pride usually starts at the end of June and runs for about a week, so check whether your dates overlap with it. If the Royal Palace is on your list, check its summer hours, and note that Patrimonio Nacional recommends getting tickets online in advance because the ticket office has limited availability.

Where to stay
esMADRID says most Pride activities take place in the Chueca neighbourhood, so if your stay overlaps the end of June, compare how close a stay is to Chueca against how much quiet you want. Also compare walking distance to a Metro station or to Atocha, where the airport express bus starts.
