Flights

Citizens Information lists the United States among the countries whose citizens do not need a visa to land in Ireland, and says Ireland is not part of the Schengen Area, so check each country's official entry rules, including the State Department's page for Ireland, if your trip includes other stops. For the flight home, Dublin Airport says most direct flights to the U.S. from its terminal for U.S. departures include U.S. Preclearance but not all do, so confirm with your airline whether it applies to your flight. Visit Dublin's traveller information lists the euro as the currency and three-prong plugs, so check that your chargers suit the local electricity before you leave.
