When to go

February opens Curaçao's dry season, which the Meteorological Department dates from February through May, and falls well before the Atlantic hurricane season that the National Hurricane Center starts in June. Compare the department's long-term highs, lows, rainfall and rain days for Hato Airport above with the weather you want. The tourist board says Carnival runs from just after the new year until the evening before Ash Wednesday, with the main parades in its final days, so check where Ash Wednesday falls in the year you travel.
