When to go

The World Meteorological Organization's climate normals for Bangkok list hot days, warm nights and very few rain days for March, so plan around the heat rather than the rain. The Bank of Thailand's holiday notice for the coming year lists a Makha Bucha substitution holiday in late February and Chakri Memorial Day in early April, so check opening hours if your trip runs into either. Look to the Tourism Authority of Thailand's newsroom for event listings closer to your dates.

Flights

Bangkok is served by Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports, and Airports of Thailand lists a shuttle between them for connecting passengers, so confirm which airport your tickets use before you build the rest of the itinerary. The tourism authority's newsroom lists the United States among the nationalities covered by the current tourism visa exemption, and the Immigration Bureau's FAQ describes the digital arrival card, so review both ahead of departure along with the State Department's page for Thailand. Check the airlines directly for flight and route information, and read the checked-baggage guidelines before you pack.
