When to go

February is outside the Atlantic hurricane season, which the National Hurricane Center dates from the start of June to the end of November. Compare the World Meteorological Organization's highs, lows, rainfall and rain days for Oranjestad above with the weather you want. Carnival's Grand Parade in Oranjestad falls on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday, and the Monday before Ash Wednesday is an official holiday. Both move with Ash Wednesday, so confirm the official dates for your year.

A current passport is required, and the tourism authority says American citizens do not need a visa; check the State Department's page for Aruba for your own situation.
